Third Annual Valen Analytics Summit Highlights Sustainable Innovation in Insurance

CEO of Google Compare will be Featured Keynote

DENVER – January 12, 2016 – Valen Analytics, a provider of proprietary data, analytics and predictive modeling for property and casualty insurers, has announced its third annual Valen Analytics Summit for 2016. The executive-level conference will feature keynote speeches from numerous industry and tech leaders, including Google Compare CEO Nicolas Weng Kan, Alan Bauer, former President of Progressive Direct, Matt Mosher, SVP of Rating Services, A.M. Best and Jon-Mike Kowall, AVP & Head of P/C Innovation at USAA. The summit will take place in Vail, Colorado from March 1-4, 2016.

The intimate, peer-forum event will tackle the issue of sustainable innovation while discussing ways in which insurers can develop their own approach to paradigm shifts and the consequences of large-scale disruption. According to a recent survey by KPMG International, while 83% of the 280 insurance executives surveyed recognize that their company’s success is tied to their ability to innovate, 74% admitted to lacking the internal core skills to drive that innovation.

“Many insurers right now are investing in technologies without a clear direction or strategy of how it will benefit them in the long-term and merge with overall business goals”, says Dax Craig, CEO of Valen Analytics. “As an industry, we need to consider that there is a fundamental issue in place preventing insurance companies from sustaining innovation and we want the Valen Summit this year to be the forum for that discussion.”
